Le Mans Classic, July 07-08, 2018

The Le Mans Classic is held every two years; 2018 will see the 9th Le Mans Classic continue its' rapid ascendancy to being one of the great historic motor racing events. It will put together the cars which wrote the 24 Hour history book between 1923 and 1979 - in total, it is expected there will be more than 350 participants.

The cars will be divided into six grids, each representing a different era. They will follow each other on the track, hour after hour, for 24 hours. The start of the race will take the form of a traditional Le Mans start. In keeping with tradition, the start will be on Saturday at 16:00 with the finish 24 hours later.

In addition to an exhibition of an array of wonderful cars, this international historic car meeting will also feature a parade of European Clubs on the long circuit and an auction of collectors' cars and automobilia.

Welcome to our Le Mans Classic site - we are the experts in Le Mans, creating tours for over 18 years. For hotels and chateaux, camping, travel, grandstand tickets and hospitality, please call us now.

The Le Mans Classic Weekend

The Classic takes place every other year and is a superb throw back to one of the most legendary races in the world. It is the biggest European assembly of historic cars - historic cars have universal appeal and there's no finer sight than a full grid of cars and drivers lining up, ears of corn style, to be first off on the formation lap.

396 cars whose common feature is to have taken part in the Le Mans 24 Hours between 1923 and 1979, will be divided into 6 grids according to their period. In keeping with tradition, the start will be at 16:00 on Saturday afternoon and the chequered flag will be hung out at 16:00 on Sunday.

The entry list is mouth watering: an Aston Martin LM 1931, a Ferrari 250 GT Bedinetta 1960, Ford GT 40's from the mid 1960's and the infamous Porsche 917 from the early 1970's.

Circuit Hotels & Trackside Hotels - Walk to the Circuit

We are the only operator to feature 3 circuit hotels for the Le Mans Classic. The new H24 and established Hotel Green 7 are a short walk to Tertre Rouge or the main entrance. There are no hotels that are closer. Our third circuit hotel is the Hotel Kyriad Mulsanne which is located right on the Mulsanne corner - you can watch the racing from your hotel! Please click on the price panel for further details of hotels.

Le Mans Hotels

Please click on the price panel for further details of hotels. All our hotels are in Le Mans – some are actually within walking distance of the circuit. We call ourselves “on site” because that is exactly what we deliver - no coach transfers, no long drives - accommodation where it should be. We offer such wonderfully located hotels such as the Hotel Charleston, Campanile Arnage, Hotel Ibis Budget Centre and Premiere Classe Ouest.

All our hotels have been chosen to be within walking distance of the superb Le Mans tramway system or to be within walking distance of the circuit entrance. The tramway takes you to Antares, where you would alight for the circuit. Tramway Map

Le Mans Restaurants

Before the race on the Friday - or after the race on the Sunday night - good dining can be very difficult to find. If you are looking for an elegant way to finish your Le Mans experience, look no further than our Auberge, which is ideally located in Arnage, close to our hotels and the circuit.

Since 1962, the family Souffront have been serving superb gourmet cuisine from their restaurant which offers a beautiful parkland view. The Auberge is one of the oldest restaurants around Le Mans. The gourmet menu consists of two starters, a main course, cheese plate and dessert. For each course, there is a choice of two or three dishes.
