Le Mans 24 Heures, June 12-13, 2010
The 2009 Le Mans 24 Heures saw the first Peugeot victory since 1993 as they took first and second end Audi's five-year domination of the event. Marc Gene, David Brabham and Alexander Wurz drove their diesel-powered Peugeot number nine car to victory. The trio completed 382 laps, one lap more than the Peugeot number eight car driven by Sebastien Bourdais, Franck Montagny and Stephane Sarrazin. Audi's Allan McNish, Rinaldo Capello and Tom Kristensen were third. The rematch will be electric for 2010.

It is not only a race for the die-hard motorsport fan but as much for the casual fan out to enjoy a hugely entertaining weekend. And the support for Le Mans is immense! One of the moments of the weekend is the long convoy of colourful British cars that weave their way down to Le Mans or the Friday atmosphere in Arnage village. There is also plenty of official action leading up to the race with the superb drivers' parade through the centre of Le Mans at 18:00. Then come the race, through sun and rain, through day and night.

Mulsanne Excursion

Three of the most spectacular viewing areas at the circuit are:

  • The section from Maison Blanche through to Tertre Rouge
  • Opposite the signalling station at Mulsanne Corner where you see the cars accelerate towards Indianapolis corner.
  • The complex at Arnage & Indianapolis corners where you see cars burst through the trees as they exit the right-hand corner, sweep through Indianapolis, accelerate and brake into Arnage corner, disappearing towards Virage Porsche.

As it is virtually impossible to make your own way to Mulsanne and Arnage, we offer a shuttle bus from near the main entrance. The round trip is approximately three hours, which allows one hour at the Arnage / Indianapolis complex, and 45 minutes at the Mulsanne corner.

Departure Times:

Saturday: 17:00, 17:20, 18:10, 18:30, 19:20, 19:40, 20:30, 20:50
